Building a house...RhoadesHouse.blogspot.com
My parents are building a house in New Holstein, WI. A couple of weekends ago Bill and I did a roadtrip to visit them and check out the new house. They've started a blog (with a little help) abot the construction process. The tricky thing is with blogger and blogs to see the very beginning you have to go to the very first post...here. And then you can see the real progress: here and here.

We dogsat Potter Johnson this weekend. We had a great time and took Potter on lots of adventures...he went hiking with Milton, returned cans and bottles, went to Starbucks, played in the yard, helped rake leaves, sniffed some pickles, walked around NMU and visited with some students who missed their dogs, picked up Bill from the ACT and slept in the sunshine.

First snow! We had the first snowflakes of the year today. It snowed off and on from early this morning until past lunch. There is no accumulation, but we definitely saw the white stuff.

Today I got a Grande Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte and it was delicious.
Today I carried 5 Starbucks drinks plus 2 pastries from the library back to Hedgcock -- no spilling.
Today I also drank a Diet Dr. Pepper...yum.
Today we finished off the chili from the weekend.
Today I worked and served on the Housing Appeals Committee.
Today I went to the quilt shop on Third Street and signed up for their newsletter.
Today I plan on dusting the dust bunnies.

HOT Pizza - tons of jalapenos! Bill's friend Nick drove up from Chicago for the weekend and we made some homemade pizza. Bill worked on Nick's retro Trek road bike -- turning it into a singlespeed commuter for Nick. We cruised around town, went out to dinner, hung out at home, and went shopping -- special bike helmut and winter mittens for the "new" bike.

Cheap and Easy Artwork.

I picked up a frame from MENARDS the picture area is 11 x 14. I used Martha Stewart Living magazines and cut strips along the edge to get strips that were 11 inches long.
After arranging the colorful strips I taped them down and put together the frame.
Cheap and easy artwork for a blank wall the night before company arrived.
