Sister Picture 2006 (I'm hiding)...more here.
The kitchen process started with removing everything that the owner had worked so hard on...

I think our color choice - green with white trim was chosen to contrast the purply grandma feel that the house had when we bought it. The trim and cabinets took the most work.

After living in the house with the green kitchen for about a year we decided to tone it down to the light blue. So one day we headed to Menard's picked out the new paint color, and painted it --one day only. We have also removed the gross ceiling fan replaced the ceiling with new tile.

The ceiling.

First kitchen redo: Kermit Green, white trim, removed frosted glass, doily curtains, and replaced drawer pulls.

This was the summer we moved into the house.

It was warm once. Not this summer, but last summer. It was warm and it will be warm again. This morning on the radio the news guy said it was -27 wind chill. We walked to work wearing our warmest coats and winter boots. Legs were cold.

Tis the season. Peppermint ice cream and snow days.

Tuesday, December 08, 2009

Good thing we bought another shovel last night. 3 shovels, 2 people. I have a system where I can use 2 shovels at once. The snowfall last year in Marquette allowed me additional training opportunities with the two-shovel technique.
