Preparing for the reveal:

One of the Christmas presents this year was a guest room makeover. One afternoon trip to TJ Maxx and Target was what it took to take the basement bedroom from pink and green flowers to calmer bedroom. Once the king size pillows are brought from Marinette the room will be closer to completion.

Sunday morning we went for a bike ride. The sky was blue and the sidewalks and streets were mostly clear. Wearing windproof gloves, two pairs of pants, and a windbreaker jacket I didn't get cold one bit. The day before we saw 45-degrees on the car temperature gauge.

This week it has begun to melt. Daytime temperatures are in the 30's. And we are walking on clear sidewalks!

What a great idea! I'm hoping to catch the dinner and a movie next month Thursday, February 11th - The Proposal and dinner from The Rubaiyat.

Swapped

Sunday morning we went to a SWAP party. Getting rid of stuff that we didn't want anymore and getting some stuff that other people didn't want any more.

Coffee, breakfast breads, bagels, and fruit and STUFF.

We now have 2 new DVD's, 2 new cook books, several other books, I have a pair of pants (wearing them at work today), a jacket for work, and some summer tops.

This may be a 6-month tradition of getting and getting rid. The leftovers were donated to Goodwill or another local shop.

This lamp and its twin may be available for swap this summer...unless I find or make lampshades for it.

Shoveling snow is much more tolerable when toast and butter + marshmallows and cocoa are waiting inside. The snow started December 31st and is in the forecast through January 11th.

We shared a delicious lunch on the Sunday before returning to work. Oranges, Reeces PB cups, almonds, carrots, celery, hummus, sesame bagel, almond butter, and apples.
