Culinary Student Dinner Number 1 of 3!
This Thursday we're going to Chez Nous, NMU's student-run restaurant. Here's the menu:
Brussels Sprouts Spread served on a Cheddar Bruschetta
Butternut Squash Soup served in a Pumpkin
Fall Salad - mixed greens tossed with pear slices, candied pecans, and maple balsamic dressing
Entree options: Eggplant Lasagna or Roasted Garlic Pork Loin
Pumpkin Toffee Cheesecake
Spiced Cider

How was it?
Bill and I agreed -- it started and ended very well. The squash soup in the pumpkin wasn't bad--just bland and too much for a soup course. The lasagna was bland and the pork was dry. We're excited to return though. Dec. 1 for "Cold-Weather Classics" featuring braised short ribs or wild mushroom ravioli.
